We are so excited that spring is almost here, and are enjoying this warm weather! With these changes please remember to pack your child a water bottle, and make sure they dress comfortably. Our mornings are still cool, so a light jacket may be needed. However, our afternoons are getting to be quite warm and short sleeves/shorts are a must!
We are so excited for March. First up, we have Dr. Suess birthday. This will bring us our Read Across America Day. From 12:30-3:00, children will be reading, and our student council representatives will keep track of pages read. They will then report the total number of pages read to student council, and the class who reads the most will receive a certificate. This will happen March 2, 2016, and will also be pajama day!
Parent teacher conferences will be March 10th and 11th. Please sign up on sheet outside the classroom door, or by email if you cannot get to the classroom. Spring break will follow starting on the 14th and running through the 18th.
In class we will continue to move through the solar system, looking at constellations, and then landing a little closer to home. This month we will be looking at the layers of the earth. Children will build their own models using “class made” play-doh.
