February 2017 Art Room Newsletter
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist
once he grows up.” –
Happy Spring Everyone;
Here in the art room our students are blossoming into some amazing artist. From the months starting March throughout April, We are exploring different styles of Art such as Realism, Impressionism an Abstract, Pop Art etc. Plus 4th-5th grade is learning the fundamentals landscape photography, through the eyes of Ansel Adams. After our talented student have expressed what is their favorites style, I then I have asked the 4th -8th graders to Mimic a style of their choosing to represents that style in a painting project.
I feel it is important to our student to realize Art can be made with almost anything. That is why I will be continue to work with them through the remainder months of school with Recycled Art projects. We will be doing this by making a canvas out of pizza and cereal boxes for our older students. Also we are using egg cartons and paper rolls to make projects come to life with our K-3rd grade classes.
If you would love to come out and view those projects please feel free come out on April 27th at 6pm and see all these up and comings artist displays of wonderful pieces of Art during the Art show. They have worked so hard to create a great show. If you have any question please feel free to contact me at any time.
Have a Wonderful Day !
